Using mirror collages as a decor accent is one of the best ways to elevate any space in your home. These collages are fun to put together if you’re a DIY person or you can buy them pre styled to hang up. Either way these collages are great options for your home and can help brighten and make a room look larger.

What is a Collage?
A collage is a art piece where the smaller objects and pieces are used to make one cohesive whole. This could look like a collection of photos and words put together to make one art piece.
Mirror collages are just the same! They use several smaller mirrors to make a cohesive design when put together.
How to find the perfect mirrors for your needs
When buying a mirror, there are several factors to consider to ensure that it meets your needs and preferences for the space you want to create. Here are some things worth considering.
-
Size and Shape:
- Consider the available space where you plan to hang or place the mirror. Ensure that the size and shape of the mirror are proportionate to the surrounding area.
- Think about the purpose of the mirror; whether it’s for a bathroom vanity, hallway, or decorative accent.
-
Frame Design:
- Choose a frame design that complements the style of the room. Frames come in various materials, such as wood, metal, or plastic, and can have different finishes like antique, modern, or rustic.
- Consider the color and finish of the frame to ensure it matches the overall aesthetic of the space.
-
Functionality:
- Determine the primary function of the mirror. For example, mirrors in bathrooms should be resistant to moisture, while full-length mirrors in bedrooms may serve dressing purposes.
- Some mirrors come with additional features, such as built-in lighting or magnification, which can be beneficial depending on your needs.
-
Placement and Hanging:
- Consider the method of hanging. Some mirrors come with pre-installed hardware, while others may require additional tools and accessories for mounting.
- Check the weight of the mirror and ensure that the wall or surface where it will be hung can support it securely.
-
Quality of Reflection:
- Inspect the quality of the mirror’s reflection. A distortion-free and clear reflection is crucial for functional mirrors, such as those in bathrooms or dressing areas. Some mirrors are warped or unclear – finding one with a high quality reflection is a game changer. You also want your mirror to be clean and easy to wipe down, so it stays nice!
Mirror collage decor inspo
Here are my favorite finds for inspiration on how to create your own wall mirror collage. These ideas are great to style for any home and you can adjust the framing, coloring, and orientation to fit your space!
Three piece sets:
Three piece mirror collage sets are definitely a great way to go if you want to create a simple and modern look with your mirror collage. This home decor is great to brighten the space and goes so well above a mantle or on the wall adjacent to a dining table or living room.
You can match the framing to have whatever kind of detailing works best for your space. Like in the photo above, the gold teardrop mirrors matches perfectly with the lamp and fireplace.
Floor mirror collage:
Finding several fun and cute floor mirrors is a great way to make a artist looking floor mirror collage. This makes for a great nook in your home for taking photos, bringing out your creativity, and brightening the room.
You can find big and beautiful mirrors like these at most home goods store, or online. Like this floor mirror from amazon would be great for your collection.
This floor mirror look might not be a good fit if you have dogs or small children, so keep that in mind!
Collage with lights:
Mirror collages don’t have to just have mirrors in them! You can add detailed lights and accents with the mirrors to create a different kind of collage. This makes for a super functional space because it not only has the detailing from the mirror but also (literally) lights up the room.
These kinds of lights would be great choices to put on a dimmer. You can use the lower light setting in the winter time before bed and makes it cozy for reading or relaxing.
Pre made mirror sets:
If you want something easier or you just aren’t a DIY kind of person, buy your mirror collage premade! These are super cute and look great in any space. Without the hassle of trying tp figure out what would look good where in your collage.
One thing to note, these premade collages often are smaller, because its more reasonable to ship and sell them that way. So if you’re looking for a larger set, you might have to do some extra looking.
Here is a the same premade mirror collage decor I love!
Match your color scheme mirrors:
If your house is a different color scheme than the common neutral or white look, think about buying mirrors to put together that match the look of your home! These mirrors and gold detailing create a sort of dark academia look that would be perfect for a study.
