It’s time to start prepping for classes, which really means prepping my back to school and college outfits! With fall term just around the corner I should be getting my textbooks, notebooks, and backpack together but more importantly, I’m getting my back to school clothes shopping done.

My vision for this upcoming school year is clothes that look classy, are super cozy, and makes me want to go study outside of my apartment just so more people have a chance to see my outfits haha!

I also really want to prioritize clothing that I can wear again and again, and clothing that mixes and matches well so I can have tons more outfits from less clothing.

Also, because I go to the gym so much, most of the pieces need to be gym ready pieces as well. I want to get the most bang for my buck! If you’re looking for great colder weather gym outfits I have a post about that here!

Here’s what I’m thinking…

  • Neutral colors that compliment one another and can be interchangeable but still look classy without trying
  • Long flowy pants and silks that elevate the look, but aren’t too much
  • And lastly oversized and chucky sweats that I can wear at the gym and to class

I also want to make sure I have a good mix of cold weather outfits, and warmer fits so I can be ready no matter that weather.

Lets get started!

#1 – Vests and sweatshirts

@lainishabo

This is a super easy and cozy fall look for college. I love how the sweatpants and vest match and how the white from the hoodie and the shoes even out the look. This is perfect to go to class in, then hangout with friends after, or even go to the gym in! There’s loads to ways to reuse and mix and match these pieces as well, making it one of my top picks for this upcoming school year. If you decide to recreate this look, I would be careful to get a hoodie without a hood, or with one thin enough it wont mess up the look of the vest in the back!

This is a great option for a nice vest.

And then for the shoes, these Filas are my go to! Not only are they great quality and are gonna last you a while, but they are comfy and perfect to walk around your college campus with.

#2 – White Crop and Tan Pants

This look is so so cute for warmer days! I love the tan pant look that really elevates the crop more than blue jeans would, and are definitely more cozy as well. Again, these are pieces you can wear again and again and mix and match so much that you’ll really get your use out of them and it will give you a bunch of college outfits to choose from for class!

You can also use tan jeans to get a similar look, like this.

Either way, here is a great tan pant option to put together this look.

#3 – Mom Jeans and Fitted White Top

This look is so so simple yet it looks so put together! I love the denim that breaks up the white in the outfit, especially if you have cute mom jeans or baggier jeans to go with it. This is perfect for any college outfit for class or even for running errands.

This is a perfect jean to recreate the look as well as a nice white fitted top.

#4 – Oversized and Comfy

This is the ultimate American college outfits look. We love looking cozy AND being cozy. The sweats are great to wear again at the gym or pair with the same fitted top from the previous outfit.

This is also a great hang out with your college friends after class or in the evening look. You can tuck the side of the shirt into your bra to give the shirt a little more shape and make it look a bit less pajama like.

#5 – Sweatshirt with Turtleneck

This is sooo cute.

I love the layered look for any winter outfit and love how it could be changed out with different sweatshirts or pants to make various new outfits.

Step one – invest in a nice pair of denim. And then get a couple cute turtlenecks and sweatshirts you can switch things up with.

The only thing I would watch out for is making sure the base color and the sweatshirt color are different shades of the same color. Or at least neutrals tones so its not overwhelming. It would be harder to pull off a pink sweatshirt with an orange turtleneck, ya know?

Here are some sweatshirts and a tan turtleneck that would easily give you this look.

#6 – Monotone White Fit

Now this is cute.

The all white baggy streetwear look is great if you’re trying to make it through to hair wash day. The slick back bun or even a ponytail really makes this one of the perfect college outfits.

You can also mix us the color of shoes to bring a pop of a different color to the look. A pink or orange would look really fun with this.

And then of course, a bag. You can really wear any type of bag with this outfit. The shorter fanny pack purse look is really cute but if you need something more functionable for the school day I would recommend a tote bag that’s not white (or it might be too much).

You can also totally switch this look up with various colors for the monotone look. A brown or any other neutral would be really cute!

Here is a great white pant to complete this look, as well as a white fitted top to go with!

If you love these outfits feel free to pin them, save this page, or share with your friends. It really helps me out as a growing blogger! 😉

This post was all about the cutest and coziest back to school looks that are perfect for any college outfit, day out, or even just a study sesh.
